The Lost City of Women

Looks like my Monday post will be late (as usual).

In the meantime, have you seen this already? As someone who wondered for a decade what that lost town might have been like, this is a wonder. Kudos to Trege, Protodude, and all the homies at Legends Station for bringing this to the fans’ attention.

I haven’t figured out how to use the cheat engine program yet (haven’t had a ton of time today for much of anything), but on the message board post, Trege was good enough to take screencaps of everything the inhabitants said. So, feast your eyes on some dialog that was never meant to be seen by players!

“Did ya know that in the bar there’s a sign that lights up?”
If you answer “yes”:
“Hey, well aren’t you just a know-it-all!”
If you answer “no”:
“Then you better get with the program!”

“I really wanted to have something witty to say, but I haven’t been able to come up with anything… Sorry!”

“It’ll be time for winter vacation soon… Do you have any fun and exciting plans yet? Then again, things are expected to be so busy up through next year, you just want to have a nice relaxing time off, am I right?”

“Between Roll and Tron, which do you like best?”
If you answer “Roll”:
“You ought to like DASH 2.”
If you answer “Tron”:
“I bet you’re enjoying Tron ni Kobun!”

“I don’t want you coming over here and bothering me!! That shock you?”

“Did you expect me to say something here?”

“If they were going to stop production on this game, they’d have to tell the software people right away, wouldn’t they…? …Not that I think something like that will happen, but…”

LOL@that last one. Wonder if they had green-lighting fears about that one, too? Judging from the images and the video, this town seems to be an early version of Nino’s Ruminoa city, standing above ground rather than below. And, it is beautiful. I can’t wait to run around that area, once I can figure out how. Many thanks to everyone who brought this to light!
