Words fail me.

I’m already going to be losing sleep over it. You know what I’m talking about.

To those of you who are hurt and deeply saddened by the news, I am with you. To those of you who are feeling angry and betrayed, I am right beside you. For all those of you who are disappointed by Mega Man’s overall outcomes this year and unsure of his future, I hear you loud and clear.

If you have a Capcom-Unity account, please, let Capcom and your fellow fans hear you over here. Then head over to Capcom’s suggestion box and upvote anything reasonably to do with bringing back Legends 3 here.

Don’t stop there. If you have a printer and a stamp, please do this. If you have a facebook account, rally here. Feel like signing a petition? Here’s a few right over here.

Write. Draw. Tweet. Sing. Make flash games or youtube videos. Whatever you can. Anything. Show your support.

Capcom has already given up on Mega Man Legends twice over. The fans have kept it alive all this time.

It’s not over until we give up.

Well, I’ve been writing crummy Mega Man fanfic for 16 years, no reason to stop now even if Capcom wants to kick me in the tailbone. :I

I have made my ire known.

I just hope that Capcom will understand why everyone is so angry, and that they don’t just assume MML3 wasn’t going to sell anyway.

I swear, someone at Capcom has a serious anti-Mega Man vendetta, because everything promising lately has been canned to the point where Mega Man as a franchise literally has nothing left for the fans to look forward to. As was pointed out on TMMN, even Rockman Online hasn’t seen an update in two months, and we know what happened to the last two games that went silent…

Stop shooting the Blue Bomber in the foot, Capcom. You’ll not get another dime from me until you do.

I don’t know if you noticed but, I haven’t been a happy camper over at CDW as it is. Now, with THIS……It’s kind of the last nail in the coffin of my enthusiasm for Capcom. I can finally see that there is NO backbone present. What’s really disturbing is that the future of Mega Man (in any of his incarnations) looks bleak. Will we ever see a Mega Man 11? I don’t know. A Mega Man X9? Don’t make me laugh. What else is there? Oh, wait. That’s all there is, because they’ve ended all their other series, and merely repackage them! I’ve been a gamer for a long time, and in I’ve seen gaming slowly gravitate toward the moron mainstream, and away from people who desire something innovative in a game. If Capcom desires the mainstream’s money alone, what is there left for the rest of us?

This kind of crap is EXACTLY why I pulled out of the Mega Man fandoms to start working on my own robot sagas. So much wasted potential in this franchise, and Capcom clearly just doesn’t care or have any kind of vision.

Hell, it’s basically time for us all to do to Mega Man exactly what was done to create him in the first place – take Astro Boy,strip a couple of parts off, then call it new and run with it. The anger of the fandom right now could be turned into something massive if only people could let go of ‘Mega Man’.

    Sucks.

I’m with Cassandra on this, there are huge opportunities that never seem to get followed on. The original series has always been about fun and games, but the follow-ups go somewhere. The X series tell us the dangers of advanced autonomous technology facing humanity; the Zero series shows how “good” and “bad” can swap sides depending of your point of view; the Battle Network series’ take on the Internet would have worked well as a MMORPG considering how it touches on modern terms; and so on.

This all has the name “Mega Man” attached to it, but it doesn’t have to. However, without a strong lead, people just won’t regroup spontaneously around a fun concept idea to do something reaching out to a potentially large audience. I applaud those who are able to go beyond that level.

I remember reading MML3 was to be released on the 3DS. I was so happy, because it was the thing I wanted for Xmas. When it was cancelled, I just wanted to take a gun to the man in charge.

When I read this article, I was inspired to make a downloadable PC version of MML3. Unfortunately, I have no clue how to program and create such a game. 🙁 (I’ve been thinking about reading a how to program book) It really burns me when a game is cancelled, like Sonic X-treme.
