They’re back!
Kicking off this round of X chibis is a variant from last week’s set with small changes like green portions instead of red. This time they managed to be consistent with the colors on the soles of the feet. The eyes and buster nozzle are a bit different as well.
Moving on to X2, the images for this armor are just as inconsistent as the X1 Q versions. In this first one the artist finally figured out how to draw the X1 armor’s buster just a tad too late and now tried poorly coloring it using the second armor’s buster colors. It’s best if you don’t try to figure out what’s going on with the boot design here.
This one has the X2 buster more-or-less correct, perhaps concentrating on it so much that they’ve forgotten the details on the other arm and chest.
We’ve taken a little step back with buster color accuracy, but the details on this one is an improvement overall. This is probably the best rendering of the X2 boots as well.
Now we’ve gotten totally carried away with the colors, forgetting what the body looked like, and the red-orange interior edges of the helmet have gotten totally out of control and taken on a dimension of their own.
And here we have another poster card of X posing in his X1 and X2 armors. The X2 QB looks confused, like “You are both from X1, so why am I here?”
I have no answers for you, little friend. Still more Q-bans to come.
Wait, this is from 1997? Why? I mean, why create a series about videogames from 93′ and 94′ when they can hit the most recent X4 in that moment?
I think these were first produced around 1995-96, but they were still making products with these images on them in ’98. (Where did you see ’97?)
Well, for weird reasons, when I read the first “Q-bans” article I see “1997”. Now, I re-reading the first article, and I don’t see the 1997 again, so my mistake, LOL.
These are sooooo cool! Thank you for posting em!
